Tuesday
Fixture: Zenit St Petersburg 1-2 Real Madrid
Venue: Petrovsky Stadium (Zenit home)
Kick-off: 5.45pm BST
Verdict: Last year's Uefa Cup winners can get their first points of their Champions League campaign. Zenit St Petersburg only lost narrowly to Juventus in Turin in the first round of games, but are a different proposition in Russia - which will prove a trip too far for Real Madrid.
Betting Advice: 2pts Zenit win at 15/8 (2.875 at Bet365, Boylesports, Bet Direct and Stan James)
Fixture: Villareal 1-0 Celtic
Venue: Estadio El Madrigal (Villareal home)
Kick-off: 7.45pm BST
Verdict: This is a question of buying money because Celtic have simply not been at the races this season. The Scottish champions have already lost a Glasgow derby and looked out of sorts when they were unable to break down Danish minnows Aab in the first round of games. Villareal, on the other hand, started well with a goalless draw at Old Trafford and going great guns in the league at home (P2 W2 F3 A0). Straightforward home win.
Betting Advice: 6pts Villareal win at 8/15 (1.5333 at Paddy Power)
Wednesday
Fixture: Bordeaux 1-3 Roma
Venue: Stade Chaban Delmas (Bordeaux home)
Kick-off: 7.45pm BST
Verdict: I'm sticking with Bordeaux to continue their decent start to the season with a win over Roma. The Italian giants have looked appalling this season - and a defeat to minnows Cluj in the last round of matches was highlighted by a loss to Genoa. Although they have managed two wins in the interim, which will go some way to boosting confidence, they were against Atalanta (above Roma but on the back of a very easy start to the season) and Reggina (second bottom) - both at home.
Betting Advice: 1pt Bordeaux win at 15/8 (2.875 at Bet365, Boylesports, Bet Direct and Stan James)
