Championship
Fixture: Crystal Palace 0-0 Sheffield United
Venue: Selhurst Park (Palace home)
Kick-off: 1.15pm BST (Sun)
Verdict: Heaven forbid me from suggesting that anything untoward might be about to go ahead at the stadium where the lights have been known to go out in the middle of a match, but I sniff an away banker. Sheff Utd need the points and their old manager, a former hero, and a man who is suing West Ham along with Sheff Utd, is in charge of Palace. Everyone knows nothing ever dodgy happens in Croydon, but anything other than a United win? It's just not possible.
Betting Advice: 10pts Sheff Utd to win at 11/17 (1.65 at expekt.com)
Fixture: Preston 1-0 QPR
Venue: Deepdale (Preston home)
Kick-off: 1.15pm BST (Sun)
Verdict: Talking of sure things: QPR have been a pretty safe bet to back against away from Loftus Road this season. Add the fact that Preston are still in the play-off race and managerless QPR are pretty much in holiday mode and you have the ultimate home banker.
Betting Advice: 6pts Preston to win at 8/15 (1.53 generally)
League One
Fixture: Scunthorpe 1-1 Tranmere (0-1 at half-time)
Venue: Glanford Park (Scunthorpe home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST (Sat)
Verdict: A straight fight for the final play-off and it is set to be a cracker against two in-form teams. Scunthorpe have the advantage of a two-point cushion and home advantage, which is likely to make them cautious. Tranmere will want to start slowly and perhaps catch the hosts with a sucker punch. Either way, I expect a very cagey first half.
Betting Advice: 3pts draw at half-time at 5/4 (2.25 at BlueSq and 888sport)
League Two
Fixture: Dagenham & Redbridge 1-2 Shrewsbury
Venue: Victoria Road (Dagenham home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST (Sat)
Verdict: Exactly the same situation as above is occurring in League Two, with the same points difference. Daggers have the home advantage and a two-point cushion. But, unlike above, the form is far more clearcut. The Daggers are the form team in the league, while the Shrews have stuttered their way to this point and are hopeless away from home. This should be a straightforward affair.
Betting Advice: 6pts Dagenham & Redbridge to win at 6/5 (2.2 generally)
