Championship
Fixture: Sheffield United 2-0 Ipswich
Venue: Bramall Lane (Sheff Utd home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT (Sat)
Verdict: The form team in the league in the latter part of the season in the Championship has been far and away Sheffield United. With the top two teams playing each other the Blades will be starting to believe that they can nick an automatic spot off Birmingham. Still very feasible bearing in mind United's less-than taxing run-in.
Betting Advice: 4pts Sheffield United at 10/11 (1.91 at Bet365 and Sportingbet); 3pts Sheff Utd to be promoted at 12/5 (3.4 at Boylesports and Stan James)
Fixture: Southampton 2-3 Charlton
Venue: St Mary's Stadium (Southampton home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT (Sat)
Verdict: The end is almost night for both these clubs, but where Charlton are likely to end Saturday afternoon with everything but mathematical relegation staring them in the face, Southampton will cling on to some hope. Alas, the powers that be are likely to dock them 10 points because I can't imagine that their holding company going into Administration will not be anything but an advantage for the beleaguered club. If it is, that's an automatic 10 pt deduction and inevitable relegation. They will go down anyway so perhaps it's for the best.
Betting Advice: 1pt Southampton win at Evens (2.0 generally)
Fixture: Birmingham 2-0 Wolves
Venue: St Andrews (Birmingham home)
Kick-off: 8pm GMT (Mon)
Verdict: Birmingham need the win more than Wolves, but the chances of them pegging back a Wolves side that need just a draw to all-but confirm promotion and the title with five straightforward matches in the run-in.
Betting Advice: 3pt draw at 9/4 (3.25 generally)
League One
Fixture: Oldham 1-2 Peterborough
Venue: Boundary Park (Oldham home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT (Sat)
Verdict: Leicester's seemingly impregnable position at the top of League One is certainly in danger after a 2-0 defeat to second-placed Peterborough squeezed the gap to just four points. I've been saying for a while that Peterborough were the team to watch in League One. The way out of this league is fast attacking football, with no desire to stop going forward. Doncaster did it that way last year, now The Posh can do it too. Oldham sparked briefly in February but faded and now have waved goodbye to promotion, which should make this a procession for the away side.
Betting Advice: 4pts Peterborough to win at 7/5 (2.4 at Paddy Power)
Fixture: Colchester 0-1 Leeds
Venue: Layer Road (Colchester home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT (Sat)
Verdict: Keep an eye on Leeds who unlike last season, are coming into form at just the right time to make it through the play-offs hell. Their win over MK Dons last weekend proved they have what it takes to beat the teams around them. It also made it four wins on the spin and revenge a 2-1 defeat by Colchester at Elland Road back in the darker days of the season.
Betting Advice: 2pts Leeds to win at 13/10 (2.3 at BlueSq)
League Two
Fixture: Bradford 1-1 Brentford
Venue: Valley Parade (Bradford home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT (Sat)
Verdict: An interesting opportunity here: Brentford lead the league by five points, but it could be a crawl to the line. They were already suffering from striking problems when top scorer Charlie MacDonald was stretchered off in the 1-1 draw at home to Gillingham with a dislocated shoulder. Bradford, meanwhile, are not without problems up front: they've score one goal in five games. I expect a cagey game, but Bradford as the home team may get a sneaky win.
Betting Advice: 1pt Bradford to win 1-0 at 15/2 (8.5 at Skybet); 2pts 0-0 draw at 10 (11.0 at Skybet); 1pt 0-0 draw double Bradford v Brentford and Birmingham v Wolves at 98/1 (99.0 at Skybet)
