Championship
Fixture: Charlton 2-3 Watford
Venue: The Valley (Charlton home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: This game really is a relegation six-pointer: if Charlton lose they can definitely kiss the Championship goodbye, while Watford are within a whisper of joining him. Charlton's hope lies on a vastly improved home performance in recent weeks (two wins out of three) and Watford's abysmal away record (one win since the beginning of October). I think that Charlton have the edge here, but it may be too little too late.
Betting Advice: 1pt Charlton at 13/8 (2.63 at Boylesports)
Fixture: QPR 0-0 Sheffield United
Venue: Loftus Road (QPR home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: Take it from me, QPR's season is as good as over now. They may be eight points off the play-offs but they played in their 1-0 defeat at home to Norwich in midweek like they were in a training session. And with next season reportedly being the big season for the West London club, there will be a lot of training sessions in the coming weeks. They need a striker for any fruitful promotion campaign and I have no doubt that will be forthcoming in the summer. Meanwhile, they can drool over the roster Sheffield United have at their mercy which includes James Beattie, Darius Henderson, Billy Sharp and Danny Webber.
Betting Advice: 4pts Sheff Utd win at 15/8 (2.88 generally)
League One
Fixture: Swindon 1-1 MK Dons
Venue: County Ground (Swindon home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: MK Dons have stepped up a gear and will be nothing if not frustrated that they could not continue the momentum at Northampton where their game was abandoned at half-time on Tuesday. That does leave them fresh for any away trip this time to the West Country to a Swindon team slipping back towards the League Two trapdoor once more.
Betting Advice: 3pts MK Dons to win at 6/5 (2.2 generally)
Fixture: Bristol Rovers 2-2 Leeds
Venue: Memorial Stadium (Bristol Rovers home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: Leeds may yet pull off the great escape from League One at the second time of asking. The West Yorkshire side have been scrapping well of late. Two wins and a draw out of the last three is a good return considering the strength of two of the opposition (Oldham and Scunthorpe). They will expect to take three points at the weekend against a Bristol Rovers side who are pretty much marking time in mid-table until the end of the season.
Betting Advice: 2pts Leeds to win at 6/4 (2.38 generally)
League Two
Fixture: Bradford 5-0 Aldershot
Venue: Valley Parade
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: Bradford have battled their way back to form and nobody who witnessed their 1-0 win at home to Macclesfield will deny that they fully deserved their win. Macc came to defend and did just that, while Bradford should have won by four or more. Now they have got that monkey off their back, it is entirely conceivable that they can make it back-to-back wins against an Aldershot side beaten in midweek by poorly (only temporarily it seems) Bournemouth side.
Betting Advice: 5pts Bradford to win at 4/5 (1.8 at Betfred and Paddy Power)
