Championship
Fixture: Plymouth 2-2 Charlton
Venue: Home Park (Charlton home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: We could be witnessing Charlton hitting the bottom here, or at least what they think might be the bottom. I suspect there might be worse to come. While last week we said Plymouth were strictly (or, at least, literally) average this season, Charlton are lurching from crisis to crisis. They managed to get out of jail twice in the last fortnight by scraping draws, but it all fell apart against lowly Barnsley at home. Manager Alan Pardew may be lucky to survive the weekend, particularly as confidence is so low, and they should be rich pickings for an average team.
Betting Advice: 4pts Plymouth to win at 20/21 (1.96 at extrabet)
Fixture: Swansea 3-1 Watford (on Sunday)
Venue: Liberty Stadium (Swansea home)
Kick-off: 2pm GMT
Verdict: Along with Charlton (above) and Southampton, Watford are another former Premiership team in disarray. Boardroom blues and a dysfunctional dressing room led to the sacking of Adrian Boothroyd - once touted as the great hope for English managers - as Watford slumped into the relegation dogfight. Their problem has been some woeful defending, which will take more than an overnight change of personnel to correct. Swansea's Liberty Stadium is certainly not the place to go if you're failing to keep the opposition out. Swansea are unbeaten at home this season and last thumped three past Southampton - another team with defending issues.
Betting Advice: 4pts Swansea to win at 5/6 (1.83 generally)
