Championship
Fixture: Bristol City 2-0 Southampton
Venue: Ashton Gate (Bristol City home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: While all the talk over the last few weeks (a two weeks in which very little football has been played) has been on Swansea's sparkling run into play-off contention, Bristol City have gone quietly unnoticed. The West Country club have sneaked up the table with an incredible run of wins - six out of their last seven and now lie above Swansea in seventh place. To be fair, City have not had the toughest of runs, but they have been beating teams at the bottom (Norwich, Charlton, Barnsley, Plymouth, Watford) which makes a home game against lowly Southampton a bankable winner.
Betting Advice: 4pts Bristol City to win at 8/11 (1.73 generally)
Fixture: Charlton 2-0 Plymouth
Venue: The Valley (Charlton home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: It's been a miserable season for both these sides, but Charlton have shown of late that they may have the wherewithal to stay in the Championship. Two unlucky defeats in two away games where they showed signs of recovery should give hope. Plymouth on the other hand are in rapid freefall and must be a target for points if Charlton are to survive. Does the fight back start here for the former Premiership club?
Betting Advice: 1pt Charlton to win at 13/10 (2.3 generally)
League One
Fixture: Peterborough 1-3 Yeovil
Venue: London Road (Peterborough home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: An incredible run of results has put Peterborough in a position they deserve to be in top three and climbing. In midweek they showed their ruthless side against lowly Brighton, something that they have lately been making a habit of. Expect Yeovil to go the same way as Brighton (and Cheltenham (3-6) and Crewe (4-2) and Huddersfield (4-0).
Betting Advice: 7pts Peterborough to win at 4/6 (1.67 at BlueSq and 888sport)
Fixture: MK Dons 3-1 Hartlepool
Venue: stadium:mk (MK Dons home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: They are going to be hard pushed to keep second spot with Peterborough in great form, but MK Dons should keep their noses in front for one more week when they face depleted Hartlepool. Chris Turner has returned as boss to the club, and that is a positive sign, but there is little reason to be believe that a Hartlepool side with a number of key men missing will be able to improve on the 3-1 beating MK Dons handed out earlier on in the season.
Betting Advice: 5pts MK Dons to win at 8/13 (1.62 at Betfred)
League Two
Fixture: Bradford 1-0 Wycombe
Venue: Valley Parade (Bradford home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: Wycombe have been a bit up and down of late, which leads me to surmise that one of my early tips for the League Two title can take advantage and move to within one point of the former leaders. Wycombe have been out of action for a fortnight, which could prove vital against a Bradford side who returned to form quite dramatically with a deserved 2-0 win away at promotion rivals Gillingham.
Betting Advice: 2pts Bradford to win at 7/5 (2.4 at Victor Chandler)
