Championship
Fixture: Cardiff 2-1 Crystal Palace
Venue: Ninian Park (Cardiff home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: Crystal Palace have been improving of late, but they could walk into a backlash against a Cardiff side who have suffered back-to-back defeats. They will feel aggrieved for both. Wolves made full use of a stiff wind in the first half to put their game at Ninian Park beyond reach, while QPR had the joy of playing against nine men at Loftus Road. Palace, meanwhile, have just an away win at a "cocky" Coventry to show for three games against lower opposition.
Betting Advice: 3pts Cardiff win at 11/10 (2.1 generally)
Fixture: Derby 3-0 Sheffield Wednesday
Venue: Pride Park (Derby home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: Sheffield Wednesday are greater than the sum of their parts - and those parts are pretty much consigned to a mid-table berth, with perhaps a late flirtation with the drop zone. Derby are back to something resembling the form that got them into the Premiership a couple of seasons ago and can put a 3-0 defeat at Reading (no embarrassment) behind them.
Betting Advice: 3pts Derby win at Evens (2.0 at Bet365, totesport and Betfred)
Fixture: Sheffield United 0-2 Reading
Venue: Bramall Lane (Sheff U home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: This has all the hallmarks of being an absolute humdinger of a match. Both sides are in exceptional form, and both go into this game knowing that they are probably playing against one of maybe two rivals for the second spot behind Wolves. Neither is likely to sit back with Birmingham snapping at their heels, so expect fireworks.
Betting Advice: 2pts more than 2.5 goals at Evens (2.0 at Sportingbet and Skybet)
Fixture: Southampton 1-2 Wolves
Venue: St Mary's Stadium (Southampton home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: Wolves continue to be our banker, more so against a Southampton side that continues to suffer from not having any degree of cohesion, confidence, or indeed, direction. Their loss at home to Bristol City was a case in point: outplayed until they went behind, they put a load of pressure on the City goal for no reward. Wolves continue to be peerless in this division - and incredible value.
Betting Advice: 2pts Wolves win at 11/10 (2.1 at Betfred and Paddy Power)
League Two
Fixture: Bury 0-2 Grimsby
Venue: Gigg Lane (Bury home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: Grimsby continue to be truly awaful this season, and could prove the perfect pick-me-up here for a Bury side that has lost its way of late. They won five of their first seven games, but have fallen away a little of late. That said, last week's home defeat against Gillingham, although painful, showed them creating plenty of chances - and they should put a few of them away against Grimsby who are yet to wina league game all season.
Betting Advice: 3pts Bury win at 8/11 (1.73 at Bet365, Skybet and Extrabet)
