Championship
Fixture: Swansea 1-0 Bristol City
Venue: Liberty Stadium (Swansea home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: There are very slim picking in the Championship this weekend as the big boys play away against difficult play-off chasing opposition or each other. But Swansea look a good thing to beat a faltering Bristol City this weekend. Bristol's draw against Ipswich was typical of them this season, they have struggled to defend a lead at home this season. But there was a little more about Giovani dos Santos's last-gasp penalty: it looked like a collective acceptance that the play-offs are now out of reach. Only Gary Johnson, Bristol City manager, seems to think it is a possibility and, I fear, he is only playing lip service to the idea. The play-offs are a very real prospect for Swansea. If they win here they will be a point behind Burnley in sixth who have to entertain form team Sheffield United on Monday night.
Betting Advice: 3pts Swansea win at 4/5 (1.8 generally)
League One
Fixture: Bristol Rovers 4-2 Millwall
Venue: Memorial Stadium (Bristol Rovers home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: Bristol Rovers season is over enough that they are thinking of reshuffling their pack to give a few people a go. Automatic promotion is still a live possibility for Millwall and they will be pushing hard for the win here.
Betting Advice: 3pts Millwall to win at 7/5 (2.4 at expekt.com)
League Two
Fixture: Lincoln City 0-1 Exeter City
Venue: Sincil Bank (Lincoln home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: Exeter are rolling over the finishing line with some momentum, but they are keeping a worrying eye over their shoulders on the scramble for the play-offs and their sudden lack of strikers. They were already without top scorer Adam Stansfield and former Ipswich and Sunderland striker Marcus Stewart when Ben Watson broke down with a calf injury. Their profligacy in front of goal of late is testament to that: they have managed just one in their last two games despite loads of chances. Lincoln, too, have been a little short in front of goal, so I was surpised to see the price Skybet have laid down for the under 2.5 goals market.
Betting Advice: 6pts under 2.5 goals in match at 4/5 (1.8 at Skybet)
Treble
Fixture: Peterborough 1-0 Stockport; Brentford 3-0 Accrington Stanley; Bury 3-0 Macclesfield
Venue: various
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: These three teams are all successfully facing promotion, they all need the points, they are all in good form and they are all playing teams that have nothing to play for. Although I tend not to advocate multiples, this is a good opportunity.
Betting Advice: 4pts Peterborough (4/9), Brentford (1/2) and Bury (4/7) treble at about 3.41 (3.41 generally)
