Verdict: I expect Wolves to continue their good form and put down a marker for their title challenge this season against one of the other early pace setters. Preston have a 100 per cent record at home, but they haven't faced anyone really tough yet and may struggle against a Wolves side fully fit, in form, rotating the squad and looking likely to score anywhere and everywhere.

Verdict: Southampton are a lot better than their league position suggests. They've got some incredibly useful youngsters who have been unlucky to lose as many as they have so far this season. The midweek draw against Ipswich will serve as a confidence boost, while the arrival of Barnsley, who are pants and probably going down, will serve as the perfect tonic. At a fantastic price!

Verdict: It's time to get back in the saddle and be a bit brave. Despite Carlisle's great start to the season, I fancy Leeds to give them a bloody nose and remind them who is favourite to win the title and who scored close to 100 points last season without getting promoted.

Verdict: That's quite a price on a recently relegated Scunthorpe side taking all three points against a side that is struggling in this league. It's worth taking simply for the fact that Scunthorpe have won their last five games on the trot after a shaky start to the season.

Verdict: Again the bookies have been kind by giving us odds against on the second team in the league beating the only team yet to register a win. Barnet are awfully at the moment, and look unlikely to put the kaybosh on Bury who are unbeaten this season.

Verdict: After a shaky start to the season Brentford are back in business and should continue a good run of form against Lincoln. The Bees had a complete overhaul of their squad in the close season, and that takes time to work itself out. They've now gone a month without defeat and should cash in at home.
