Championship
Fixture: Birmingham 2-1 Ipswich
Venue: St Andrews (Birmingham home)
Kick-off: 7.45pm GMT
Verdict: A vital win against Swansea kept Birmingham on course for automatic promotion, despite having a few key players on the sidelines. However, with the strength in depth that they have, it should prove little hindrance to their progress particularly against Ipswich who proved their fragility away from home against lowly Doncaster last time out.
Betting Advice: 4pts Birmingham to win at 5/6 (1.83 at Betfred)
Fixture: Cardiff 2-2 Reading
Venue: Ninian Park (Cardiff home)
Kick-off: 7.45pm GMT
Verdict: Although Cardiff are no slouches, Reading will be desperate to prove that their abject performance at home to Southampton at the weekend was a one-off. It should be. They are one of the most talented sides in the division and anything resembling their 2-0 win at Sheffield United the week before will be enough to beat a transitional Cardiff side.
Betting Advice: 3pts Reading win at 9/5 (2.8 at Bet365 and Skybet)
League One
Fixture: Tranmere 2-0 Scunthorpe
Venue: Prenton Park (Tranmere home)
Kick-off: 7.45pm GMT
Verdict: For Tranmere this game comes too soon for them they lost on Saturday with a completely changed team thanks to suspensions, but mainly because a flu epidemic is sweeping through the changing room. Scunthorpe are rightly full of confidence despite losing their unbeaten record in November to the league leaders, Leicester.
Betting Advice: 3pts Scunthorpe win at 7/4 (2.75 at Skybet)
League Two
Fixture: Bradford 3-2 Chesterfield
Venue: Valley Parade (Bradford home)
Kick-off: 7.45pm GMT
Verdict: Former Premiership club Bradford are currently not playing to their full potential but still managing to get wins on the road and at home, which is always a good sign. Chesterfield are another squad with a virus in the changing room, which could cause a problem on a bitterly cold night halfway up a West Yorkshire hill.
Betting Advice: 5pts Bradford win at 30/29 (2.04 at Canbet.com)
Fixture: Shrewsbury 2-1 Dagenham & Redbridge
Venue: Prostar Stadium (Shrewsbury home)
Kick-off: 7.45pm GMT
Verdict: Every will be wowed by Dagenham & Redbridge's whopping 6-1 victory over Notts County and the fact that they are pretty useful in front of goal in general with a whopping 35 goals for so far this season. But unlike County, the Shrews have a very organised defence conceding just five goals at home this season. Shrews have strengthened at the back too, with the highly thought of keeper Mathew Gilks joining on loan from Norwich. A few errors at the back, which the Daggers are prone to, should seal this one for the high-flying Shrews.
Betting Advice: 3pts Shrewsbury win at 10/11 (1.91 at Paddy Power)
