Championship
Fixture: Wolves 1-1 Birmingham
Venue: Molineux (Wolves home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: On form there is only one winner of this game, but it is a top of the table derby clash, which makes the form a little difficult to follow. That said Wolves, streets ahead of Birmingham this season, if they can keep their nerve, should win this battle.
Betting Advice: 3pts Wolves win at 11/8 (2.38 at Boylesports)
Fixture: Watford 1-1 Doncaster
Venue: Vicarage Stadium (Watford home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: A new regime can make all the difference and Watford have been reaping the rewards with a 3-0 win over QPR and then a solid 1-1 draw at Bristol City. Now the pressure is on as this is a relegation six-pointer against a Doncaster side that have scored once in their last six games.
Betting Advice: 2pts Watford win at 5/6 (1.83 generally)
Fixture: Reading 3-1 Coventry
Venue: Madejski Stadium (Boro home)
Kick-off: 8pm GMT (Monday 1st December)
Verdict: It is quite inconceivable to think that Reading will fail to win two games on the trot at home. They are the only team capable of catching the top two this season and Coventry could be a good place to start the chase.
Betting Advice: 5pts Reading win at 4/7 (1.58 generally)
League One
Fixture: Northampton 1-2 Colchester
Venue: Sixfields Stadium (Northampton home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: With the FA Cup holding sway over the bottom two divisions this weekend, there are few betting opportunities for us in our most successful battlefield. However, Northampton's win against Leeds last weekend was a hint at the potential I have been looking for in them all season. To have any hope of bridging the nine-point gap to the play-offs they will have to beat teams like Colchester at home, who despite a few results have looked a shadow of the Championship side that had its guts ripped out last season.
Betting Advice: 3pts Northampton win at 5/4 (2.25 at BlueSq, 888sport and William Hill)
