Spanish La Liga
Fixture: Deportivo La Coruna 1-0 Numancia
Venue: Estadio Municipal de Riazor (Deportivo La Coruna home)
Kick-off: 4pm BST (Sunday)
Verdict: Deportivo have not had the easiest starts to the season they have already played Real Madrid (won), Villareal (lost) and Valencia (lost), which is why they are in such a lowly position. The arrival of Numancia should change that as the central Spanish has struggled since beating Barcelona on the opening day of the season.
Betting Advice: 2pts Deportivo win at 4/5 (1.909 at Paddy Power)
Italian Serie A
Fixture: Juventus 1-2 Palermo
Venue: Stadio della Alpi (Juve home)
Kick-off: 2pm BST (Sunday)
Verdict: Juventus have not been in irresistible form so far this season, but it is inconceivable that they will not beat Palermo, who are yet to garner a single point on their travels, at home.
Betting Advice: 4pts Juve win at 4/7 (1.571428 at Paddy Power)
Fixture: Cagliari 0-0 AC Milan
Venue: Stadio Sant'Ella (Cagliari home)
Kick-off: 7.30pm BST (Sunday)
Verdict: AC Milan's stunning win in the Milan derby all but confirmed that they are back to form with a bang. Although the trip to Sardinia can be gruelling, particularly for the Northern League sides, Cagliari are poor this season and should be a cakewalk.
Betting Advice: 4pts AC Milan win at 1/2 (1.5 generally)
German Bundesliga
Fixture: Stuttgart 4-1 Werder Bremen
Venue: Mercedes-Benz Arena (Stuttgart home)
Kick-off: 2.30pm BST (Saturday)
Verdict: Bremen have scored ten goals in their last two league matches (both wins) and held Inter Milan to a draw in the Champions League, while their coach, Thomas Schaaf insists that they are still not firing at their best. Although Stuttgart have started well, Werder are the team to beat in Germany and are early favourites for the title.
Betting Advice: 2pts Werder Bremen win at 15/8 (2.875 generally)
French Ligue 1
Fixture: Rennes 3-0 Lyon
Venue: Route de Lorient (Rennes home)
Kick-off: 4pm BST (Sunday)
Verdict: It is usually not the done thing to bet on the away win in France, but I find myself tempted by the price on Lyon who have not dropped a point, home or away, since the second week of the season. Rennes are struggling for goals this season, which could prove a problem against the free-scoring leaders.
Betting Advice: 2pts Lyon to win at 6/5 (2.2 at Bet365, Paddy Power, Bet Direct, Stan James and Coral)
