Spanish La Liga
Fixture: Getafe 0-3 Valencia
Venue: Coliseum Alfonso Perez (Getafe home)
Kick-off: 5pm GMT (Sunday)
Verdict: Valencia are backed at decent odds to make light of last week's shock defeat to Racing Santander. The early leaders lost the top spot to Barcelona last weekend after a very sodden pitch put paid to their excellent start to the season. That game can be discounted because it was obvious that the weather proved to be a great leveller. Meanwhile, Getafe struggled last week to maintain their mid-table status against lowly Recre, only managing a late equaliser that was hardly deserved. And the home side only managed their first win of the season two weeks ago against a Valladolid side that is very poor on their travels. Get on.
Betting Advice: 4pts Valencia to win at 7/5 (2.4 generally)
Italian Serie A
Fixture: Chievo 0-2 Juventus
Venue: Stadio Marc'Antonio (Chievo home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT (Sunday)
Verdict: There is not much value to be had in Italy this week, so let's stick to what we know. This season we know that Juventus are growing in stature and were awesome in midweek against Real Madrid. That's all you need to know against Chievo, a side struggling to keep apace in Serie A.
Betting Advice: 4pts Juventus to win at 8/13 (1.62 at Victor Chandler, Paddy Power and Skybet)
German Bundesliga
Fixture: Karlsruhe 3-3 Bayer Leverkusen
Venue: Wildparkstadion (Karlsruhe home)
Kick-off: 3.30pm GMT (Saturday)
Verdict: I thought this was too obvious at first, but near evens on Leverkusen this season is proving tough to find. Bayer are playing with panache and looking more and more like champions in waiting. Better not to look a gift horse in the mouth here.
Betting Advice: 2pts Bayer Leverkusen to win at 4/5 (1.8 at Stan James and Bet Direct)
Fixture: Schalke 04 1-2 Bayern Munich
Venue: Veltins-Arena (Schalke home)
Kick-off: 5pm GMT (Sunday)
Verdict: Although they have let us down in the past away from home, I have seen enough of Bayern Munich in the last few weeks to believe they have a good run in the league in them. Schalke are yet to lose at home, but have not been impressive, scoring just seven in five games. This is Bayern's toughest test since going on a four-game winning streak, but they are worth a small risk at the price.
Betting Advice: 1pt Bayern Munich to win at 13/8 (2.63 at Coral)
French Ligue 1
Fixture: Valenciennes 0-1 Nantes
Venue: Stade Nungesser (Valenciennes home)
Kick-off: 5pm GMT (Sunday)
Verdict: What has been remarkable about the French Ligue 1 this season has been the huge number of draws that have taken place it's fair bankrupted us. A massive 41 draws out of 120 games one in every three. Two of the biggest culprits are these two who have been involved in 14 draws between them. It is no surprise to see that both have struggled for goals eight each in 12 games. Am I being obvious here or is draw 0-0 - too easy?
Betting Advice: 1pt draw at 2/1 (3.0 at Bet365 and totesport) and 1pt 0-0 draw at 7/1 (8.0 at Boylesports)
