Verdict: Roma have been appalling away from home and showed against Chelsea that their main weapon, a stubborn resistance, can be punctured. Udinese have had an excellent start to the season, only losing once to Juventus away from home.

Verdict: Time to get back on the Bayern horse after they have shown that the early season blip is finally receding. A 3-0 win in the Champions League against Fiorentina is the perfect fillip particularly after a 1-0 away win at Karlsruhe last weekend.
