Saturday
Fixture: Bolton v Hull
Venue: reebok Stadium (Bolton home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: Without lifting a foot in anger, Hull dropped unceremoniously into the bottom three with just two games to go. With their final game a home tie against impending champions Man Utd, this is pretty much their last chance to stay in the top flight. I think it's gone now. Newcastle look likely to succeed against either Fulham or Aston Villa, which will leave Hull bereft. Worse still, a dogged Bolton are likely to hold them to a draw here.
Betting Advice: 1pt draw at 12/5 (3.4 generally)
Res: 1-1
Fixture: Everton v West Ham
Venue: Goodison Park (Everton home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: Draws may be the name of the game in the Premier League this weekend. Everton are still chasing fifth place, but West Ham have a European desire themselves and are in good form - despite a pasting at Anfield last week.
Betting Advice: 1pt draw at 13/5 (3.6 at Bet365)
Res: 3-1
Fixture: Middlesbrough v Aston Villa
Venue: Riverside Stadium (Boro home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: By the end of play on Saturday we should have at least one relegation confirmed. The big surprise may be that it won't be West Brom that go down first - although they may follow closely behind - but Boro. Middlesbrough played like a doomed team at St James Park on Monday night and will deserve to be relegated considering their abject form this year. In a last ditched attempt at salvation, though, it could be that Villa do not wipe the floor with them, but instead settle for a draw, which will be an achievement considering their fall from grace in the last third of the season.
Betting Advice: 1pt draw at 12/5 (3.4 generally)
Res: 1-1
Fixture: Newcastle v Fulham
Venue: St James' Park (Newcastle home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: And so to St James Park, the season of that timely victory for Newcastle on Monday night. They are now out of the bottom three and deserve to be as their form has improved as their confidence has increased in the run-up. Fulham are no slouches and are chasing a European berth themselves, so will not come to make up the numbers. However, that added confidence, married to a hint of destiny will see Newcastle home.
Betting Advice: 2pts Newcastle to win at 20/21 (1.96 generally)
Res: 1-3
Monday
Fixture: Portsmouth v Sunderland
Venue: Fratton Park (Portsmouth home)
Kick-off: 8pm BST
Verdict: Portsmouth are pretty assured of staying up in the Premier League in a season that they can be pretty grateful to have found at least three teams worse than them. Their form was dire under Tony Adams and, apart from a blip when Paul Hart took over in the caretaker role. That was enough to see them safe, but it has been abject since - Portsmouth have not scored in 371 minutes of football (6hrs 11mins) and have not looked like scoring for most if it. Sunderland still need a few points to be absolutely sure, and should be confident of getting them at the first time of asking.
Betting Advice: 4pts Sunderland to win at 3/1 (4.0 at Skybet)
Res: 3-1
THE NO BETS
Saturday
Man Utd will probably secure the title against Arsenal on Saturday, but there could still be a last-day piece of excitement, so steer clear of a tiny price on the Red Devils
Res: 0-0
Bolton will probably win this one, but Hull so desperately need the points and Bolton so desperately are looking forward to their holiday that this is a risky bet
Res: 1-1
Stoke against Wigan is perhaps the unsexiest sounding Premier League tie in its history - don't expect much in the way of value - bound to be an open game
Res: 2-0
Spurs are pretty unreliable, Man City more so. Avoid like the plague
Res: 2-1
Sunday
Liverpool should win this one but the title chase could be over by then and West Brom (home) need the points. No value here
Res: 0-2
Chelsea are a shoo-in, but you won't see me taking 3/10 or lower against anyone, especially in-form Blackburn
Res: 2-0
