Saturday
Fixture: Middlesbrough 0-5 Chelsea
Venue: Riverside Stadium (Boro home)
Kick-off: 12.45pm BST
Verdict: Middlesbrough have a good history against Chelsea, but this blues side is far stronger than previous sides. I see Chelsea grabbing a win to keep the pressure on Liverpool and Man Utd.
Betting Advice: 3pts Chelsea to win at 8/13 (1.61538 Bet365, Paddy Power and Coral)
Fixture: Arsenal 3-1 Everton
Venue: Emirates Stadium (Arsenal home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: Arsenal are a poor 2/5 given that they have showed themselves perfectly capable of losing to pretty much anyone this season. Everton, on the other hand, have had a patchy start, but a lot of that may be attributed to the uncertainty surrounding David Moyes future. Arsenal's low price offers value in the Asian Handicap where the bookies have been generous to Everton.
Betting Advice: 3pts Everton +1.25 on Asian Handicap at 18/19 (1.95 at Paddy Power)
Fixture: Aston Villa 0-0 Portsmouth
Venue: Villa Park (Wigan home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: The bookies have still not come round to the fact Aston Villa are genuine challengers for fourth or even third place. That is why they are not huge odds on to beat a Portsmouth side who have conceded more than three goals for every goal they have scored on their travels.
Betting Advice: 4pts Villa win at 17/20 (1.85 generally)
Fixture: Bolton 0-0 Blackburn
Venue: Rebook Stadium (Bolton home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: This is a game where the away team has a tendency to win. When Blackburn travel to Bolton they win, Bolton do better against Blackburn at Ewood Park. Which is why Blackburn are favourites here. But pick a small amount of value on the draw - because Bolton are improving.
Betting Advice: 1pt draw at 9/4 (3.25 generally)
Fixture: Fulham 0-0 Sunderland
Venue: Craven Cottage (Fulham home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: Fulham's poor start is a mystery. They've picked up decent new recruits, Jimmy Bullard is back and they even have a manager that is not a joke, but still they are winless away from home and have only scored five in six games. Sunderland are up and down, a little like their schizo manager, and cannot be guaranteed to roll over away from home any more. Best avoided.
Betting Advice: no bet
Fixture: Liverpool 3-2 Wigan
Venue: Anfield (Liverpool home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: Liverpool have had their bald patch and come our of it with plenty of points and a new-found vigour. Wigan continue to be a useful side at this level, but still find it hard to grab points at the big venues.
Betting Advice: 1pt Second half to have more goals at Evens (2.0 at Bet365, Boylesports, BlueSq, Paddy Power, Bet Direct, Stan James and 888sport)
Fixture: Man Utd 4-0 WBA
Venue: Old Trafford (Man Utd home)
Kick-off: 5.30pm BST
Verdict: It is an impossible price on Man Utd to win (2/9) and as there is little chance of West Brom getting anything out of a trip to Old Trafford there is no value here.
Betting Advice: no bet
Sunday
Fixture: Hull 1-0 West Ham
Venue: Kingston Communications Stadium (Hull home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: Hull find themselves favourites - a position they could not have imagined six months ago. West Ham may be riding high themselves, but the smart knowledge is they are on their way down because of long-term injuries. What doesn't help, is that they have already lost to WBA and Bolton this season. I am still not prepared to back Hull, they will start to struggle soon.
Betting Advice: no bet
Fixture: Stoke 2-1 Tottenham
Venue: Britannia Stadium (Stoke home)
Kick-off: 4pm BST
Verdict: With the pressure on not just Tottenham's boss Juande Ramos, but the entire set-up and ethos at White Hart Lane, this is a must win for Spurs. The big question is: do Stoke - at home, with long-throw specialist Rory Delap returning from injury warrant being outsiders at 11/5 (Sporting bet and Bet365). The answer is that Stoke do have what it takes, but beware a Spurs side on the back foot. This may be the time to get some value on Spurs.
Betting Advice: 5pts Tottenham win at 13/10 (2.3 generally)
Monday
Fixture: Newcastle 2-2 Man City
Venue: St James Park (Newcastle home)
Kick-off: 8pm BST
Verdict: Don't even think about touching this fixture with a barge pole. When Man City are not winning by six, they are losing leads or flattering to deceive. Not something that Newcastle are doing. They are rubbish, that's what they look like, that's what they are.
Betting Advice: no bet
