Saturday
Fixture: Blackburn 1-1 West Ham
Venue: Ewood Park (Blackburn home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: With a succession of injury problems and trouble brewing off-the-field, this is not a time to be backing troubled West Ham. They were very fortunate at home in midweek to come away with a draw against bottom side West Brom and not a lot of teams can say that this season. Blackburn took a beating from a resurgent Arsenal last weekend, but we can discount that, and there form is good in general.
Betting Advice: 2pts Blackburn win at Evens (2.0 generally)
Fixture: Stoke 1-0 Middlesbrough
Venue: Britannia Stadium (Stoke home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: Middlesbrough are so appalling at the moment, their shock 2-0 victory over Liverpool a couple of weeks ago has to go down as one of the shocks of the season. They are second from bottom of the Premier League for a reason, but will be hoping that a result against third-bottom Stoke will get them out of jail. That is unlikely to happen. While Stoke are struggling, it is their away form that has been letting them down at home they have the record of a top eight side.
Betting Advice: 3pts Stoke to win at 7/5 (2.4 at expect.com)
Fixture: Tottenham 1-0 Chelsea
Venue: White Hart Lane (Spurs home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict: This may have the look of a simple away win on paper, football isn't played on paper most of the time. Chelsea are in good form, but this is a potential banana skin at the lane a London derby against a side in better form than their league position suggests. The Price of Spurs for the win is worth a little tickle in itself.
Betting Advice: 1pt Spurs to win at 7/2 (4.5 at Skybet, William Hill and extrabet)
Sunday
Fixture: Wigan 1-0 Hull
Venue: JJB Stadium (Wigan home)
Kick-off: 1.30pm GMT
Verdict: Wigan have an outside chance of a European place and that is good enough for me to believe that they won't be thinking of their summer holidays just yet. It is still unsure how much Hull's predicament has sunk in they are just four points off relegation but there are a lot of teams between them and the abyss.
Betting Advice: 4pts Wigan to win at 4/5 (1.8 at Skybet and Ladbrokes)
THE NO BETS
Saturday
Normally, Portsmouth would be quids in for a beating here, but a precarious position could spring a surprise for Everton.
Fulham wouldn't appear to have a ghost of a chance against Man Utd and the bookies seem to know it.
West Brom are unbackable as are Bolton. This has draw written all over it.
Odds on for Arsenal away to Newcastle is not good odds, particular considering their topsy-turvy season.
Sunday
Man City may not be over their exertions in the Uefa Cup, but still a worthy favourite against Sunderland.
Liverpool are a poor price against Aston Villa and you still can't be too sure. But Villa are in poor form at the moment. Don't know.
