Saturday
Fixture: Chelsea 0-0 Newcastle
Venue: Stamford Bridge (Chelsea home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict:
No doubt in my mind Chelsea will win this one, but the question is: where is the value? Chelsea are a mind-bending 2/9, but only 8/11 to win to nil and, considering Newcastle have scored a paltry six goals away from home, Chelsea should manage a shut-out here.
Betting Advice: 5pts Chelsea to win to nil at 8/11 (1.73 at Paddy Power)

Fixture: Liverpool 0-0 Fulham
Venue: Anfield (Liverpool home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict:
Another case of, where's the value gone? Fulham are winless away from home, but they don't concede so it might prove a struggle for Liverpool but they should get there.
Betting Advice: 5pts Liverpool to win to nil at 8/11 (1.73 at Paddy Power)

Fixture: Man City 3-0 Arsenal
Venue: Eastlands (Man City home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict:
Between Man City's erratic form and Arsenal's dressing room rifts, I can't recommend anyone put a farthing on this game.
Betting Advice: no bet

Fixture: Middlesbrough 1-3 Bolton
Venue: Riverside Stadium (Boro home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict:
Boro, it would appear have turned a corner. Now they have to put a run together to give them the chance to put distance between them and the scrum at the bottom. That means beating the likes of Bolton at home.
Betting Advice: 3pts Boro win at 10/11 (1.91 at Bet365, Betfred and Paddy Power)

Fixture: Portsmouth 2-2 Hull
Venue: Fratton Park (Pompey home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict:
I'm still running on the theory that Hull are slowly being found out at this level. While it looks entirely possible that their excellent start may be enough to see them over the line, they will start losing more games than they win. And their opposition is likely to be put in at good value. Portsmouth are unbeaten in two and may have found their feet again after Harry Redknapp ripped the rug from under them.
Betting Advice: 1pt Portsmouth to win at 17/20 (1.85 at Victor Chandler)

Fixture: Stoke 1-0 West Brom
Venue: Britannia Stadium (Stoke home)
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Verdict:
As Stoke continue to eke out a few results and West Brom continue to drop points they should keep, I don't have the heart to tip WBA even though I think they'll win.
Betting Advice: no bet

Fixture: Aston Villa 0-0 Man Utd
Venue: Villa Park (A Villa home)
Kick-off: 5.30pm GMT
Verdict:
For the second time in two weeks Aston Villa are involved in our match of the week - and that is mostly because they are causing quite a stir with the big four. For the first time in years the top four places in the Premier League are not guaranteed to go to Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool automatically. Villa have the squeeze on Arsenal in fourth place, but the question is: do they have the wherewithal to usurp Man Utd as well? My answer: yes they do (for the moment).
Betting Advice: 1pt Villa to win at 4/1 (5.0 at Bet365)

Sunday
Fixture: Spurs 1-0 Blackburn
Venue: White Hart Lane (Spurs home)
Kick-off: 1.30pm GMT
Verdict:
While Spurs have a long way to go, they should have the beating of Blackburn here who are suffering from a lack of confidence. They haven't won since September and were clearly stung by a home defeat to Sunderland last week. While all of Spurs' problems are not over they are playing with a belief now and that's good enough for Blackburn.
Betting Advice: 2pts Spurs to win at 4/5 (1.8 at Boylesports and Coral)

Fixture: Sunderland 0-1 West Ham
Venue: Stadium of Light (Sunderland home)
Kick-off: 4pm GMT
Verdict:
A little tickle on Sunderland is due here as West Ham continue to look like candidates for a calamity and Sunderland are in form.
Betting Advice: 1pt Sunderland to win at 6/5 (2.2 at Bet Direct, Stan James, Coral)

Monday
Fixture: Wigan 1-0 Everton
Venue: JJB Stadium (Wigan home)
Kick-off: 8pm GMT
Verdict:
Wigan are a team that I will continue to back at home, because they are a good side but they've lost me a bit of money this season. However, I'm playing a long game on them. And I bet when I do my season breakdown I would have made a profit on them.
Betting Advice: 1pt Wigan to win at 13/8 (2.63 at Boylesports, Betfred and Skybet)
