Tuesday
Champions League
Match: FC Zurich 2-1 Ventspils
FC Zurich won the away leg 3-0, but it could have been ten. There is a danger with such a big lead that the home team will take the opportunity to rest a few players but Zurich coach Bernard Challandes has vowed that he has a fully-fit, full-strength side and will attack from the world go.
The Latvian minnows will be making history if they make the Champions League group stages and it is unlikely to happen. They were very lucky against BATE in the last round and could come unstuck in grand fashion here.
With defence not an option, the 8/11 on offer for over 2.5 goals is very, very tempting.
Betting Advice: 3pts More than 2.5 goals in match at 8/11 (1.73 at Skybet)
Wednesday
Champions League
Match: Fiorentina 2-2 Sporting Lisbon
Sporting coach Paulo Bento is under intense pressure after a poor start to the season, but he cannot be totally to blame as Lisbon are suffering heavily from a lack of firepower (and player willpower). Without Postiga and Caicedo it is difficult to see the Portuguesers scoring in Italy, which will automatically mean the Italian side progressing.
Betting Advice: 2pts Fiorentina to keep a clean sheet at 6/5 (2.2 at William Hill); 4pts Fiorentina to win at 4/5 (1.8 at Coral, William Hill and Ladbrokes)
