Wednesday
Fixture: Arsenal 2-0 Olympiakos
Venue: Emirates Stadium (Arsenal home)
Kick-off: 7.45pm BST
Verdict: The Greeks have a very poor record against English clubs, and will find that their defence, while well organised will be no match for Arsenal. The Gunners come-from-behind win in Belgium was the precursor to a return to form for the Gunners. There is no doubt in my mind that Arsenal are going to be a few goals ahead of the Greeks here, so its worth going all out on the Asian handicap.
Betting Advice: 2pts Arsenal -2.75 on Asian handicap at 5/2 (3.5 at Bet365)
Fixture: Rangers 1-4 Sevilla
Venue: Ibrox (Ramgers home)
Kick-off: 7.45pm BST
Verdict: Freddie Kanoute and colleagues may be telling the press that this will be a tough fixture for Sevilla, but that will not be the case. Rangers are plodding this season, and are too obvious to break down the weakest of Scottish defences. Meanwhile, Sevilla have begun the season as the third best team in Spain should, with pace and verve and a winning mentality. The Spaniards are far too classy to let a passionate crowd put them off their wonderful stroke
Betting Advice: 5pts Sevilla at 11/10 (2.1 at Bet365)
Fixture: AZ Alkmaar 1-1 Standard Liege
Venue: DSB Stadion (Standard Liege home)
Kick-off: 7.45pm BST
Verdict: Despite letting slip a two-goal advantage I am confident in liege's abilities at this level. AZ have a stunning home record in Europe, but it has been a while and the Dutch champions are having an atrocious season so far, with no form at all. Sneaky win for the Belgians.
Betting Advice: 1pt Standard Liege at 4/1 (5.0 at Ladbrokes)
