Championship
Fixture: Derby 2-3 Barnsley
Venue: Pride Park (Derby home)
Kick-off: 7.45pm BST Verdict: Derby lost their perfect home record against Sheffield United at the weekend, but it was no shame against a side tipped for the play-offs at least. The Blades were fortunate as well against a Nigel Clough side that is slowly finding its feet. On paper Derby's form does not look good: they have lost their last two and barely scraped a win against lowly Plymouth, last three out. But alongside the Sheff Utd defeat was a tough away derby against Forest, which was a strange affair. They finished that game the stronger, coming back from 3-0 down to lose 3-2. Barnsley new manager Mark Robins said after they lost to Watford that his team are not getting the little things right. He also questioned whether they were capable of getting those things right, which is a worry.
Betting Advice: 2pts Derby to win at 4/5 (1.8 generally)
Fixture: QPR P-P Crystal Palace
Venue: Loftus Road (QPR home)
Kick-off: 8pm BST Verdict: QPR manager Jim Magilton reckons that the reason why QPR have failed to win at home this season is they are just too nervous in front of what has always been a very critical home crowd. However, they are showing their capabilities away from home. Last time out against Peterborough, a couple of players who shone in international in midweek look out of sorts, which will obviously change here. Palace, meanwhile, look a shadow of their former selves and will expect boss Neil Warnock to make changes after losing 4-0 at home to Scunthorpe. However, that was not a one-off and with Crystal Palace scoring just once away from home, QPR should boss this one throughout.
