Championship
Fixture: Ipswich Town 1-1 Swansea
Venue: Portman Road (Sheff Utd home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: Structurally things aren't as bad as they look at Ipswich, which will be scant consolation to anyone associated with the club that's propping up the Championship without a win all season. There have been signs of improvement they almost won at Sheffield United and have been unlucky elsewhere. They need a gimme and this could be it. Swansea have grabbed some points here and there, but they are a flawed side with its backbone crushed by close season departures. They may find that their lack of goals away from home (two in five) could haunt them.
Betting Advice: 1pt Ipswich to win at 5/4 (2.25 generally)
Fixture: Cardiff 1-1 Crystal Palace
Venue: Ninian Park (Cardiff home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: This win is so obvious and everyone is tipping it that I do feel a little uneasy, almost nervous. Cardiff have managed to get over their blip (brought about by 'tiredness', according to boss Dave Jones) and wins at Watford and against Derby have put them back in the play-offs. Crystal Palace have struggled all season, but they look improved during a 4-1 win at Blackpool although it is debatable form.
Betting Advice: 4pts Cardiff to win at 11/13 (1.85 at expekt)
League One
Fixture: Leeds 2-1 Norwich
Venue: Elland Road (Norwich home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: While it is difficult to see Leeds getting beaten at home at all this season, one of the few teams that might give them a run for their money in Leeds is Norwich. The relegated Canaries are improving on a weekly basis and can add Leeds to an already impressive list of teams who have yet to embarrassed them.
Betting Advice: 1pt draw at 5/2 (3.5 generally)
League Two
Fixture: Accrington Stanley 0-1 Bournemouth
Venue: Livingstone Road (Stanley home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: While Bournemouth remain top, their personnel problems go from bad to worse as they scratch around for players to bring on the back of an injury crisis. It's not been easy because thety are under the strictest of transfer embargoes, but at least one player has come in this week Anthony Edgar from West Ham. However, Accrington are on a resurgence and also stuffed Bournemouth 3-0 last season.
Betting Advice: 1pt Stanley to win at 9/5 (2.8 generally)
Fixture: Grimsby 0-2 Rochdale
Venue: Blundell Park (Grimsby home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: Rochdale are the real deal this season, and their 2-1 victory over an in-form Barnet last week really proved that. Grimsby really are as bad as they look and will be, in the words of the late-great Clough, lucky to get nil.
Betting Advice: 3pts Rochdale to win at Evens (2.0 generally)
