footbet - football tips

Championship
Cardiff 0-2 Barnsley; Newcastle 3-0 Preston
KO: 3pm (GMT)
Venue: Various
Verdict: you know, the last seven days have been a pig of week for anyone predicting football results.
But some good will have come out of it because, by my estimation we have passed the transitional week and are now in what is termed as the 'run-in'.
In the run-in, form comes back into the equation, until we get to the next phase, which is the jittery phase. I'll tell you when we get there.
Back in the Championship four teams look like fighting it out at the top - and here are two of them.
Advice: 4pts Cardiff and Newcastle to win at about 2.75 (generally)
League One
Leeds 1-1 Brighton; Swindon 2-0 Carlisle
KO: 3pm (GMT)
Venue: various
Verdict: While I predicted it would happen, it has been a bit disconcerting how far Leeds have managed to fall since their historic victory against Man Utd in the FA Cup.
They were around ten points clear in League One at that stage, but now find themselves four points behind leaders Norwich and in danger of losing the automatic place to anyone of Colchester, Charlton, or even Swindon, who are arguably playing some of the best football in the league this season.
No matter. Leeds should win again this week, as should Swindon for a meaty double.
Advice: 5pts Leeds and Swindon to win at about 2.5 (generally)
League Two
Darlington 2-3 Chesterfield
KO: 3pm (GMT)
Venue: Darlington Arena
Verdict: We are gonna take a step back from Shrewsbury this week and have a dig at Chesterfield who take their League Two superstars to the worst team in the league this weekend.
One of my early hopes for the title, Chesterfield lost their way a little bit, but with four wins on the spin are back in with a shout of promotion.
Advice: 3pts chesterfield to win at about 10/11 (1.91 generally)
Sunday February 21 2010
Bristol City 2-1 West Brom
KO: 2pm (GMT)
Venue: Ashton Gate
Verdict: And here is the third of that foursome. West Brom have had a troubled season, but they are now looking like they should do on the pitch. On paper they have the strongest squad, which has not always looked the case this season, but a nine-game unbeaten run has put my tip at the beginning of the season for the title in second place just three points behind Newcastle.
Bristol City are not easy at home, but recent draws against lowly opposition suggest an end-of-season mentality creeping.
This is where West Brom front up.
Advice: 3pts West Brom to win at 21/20 (2.05 at Boylesports)
