european leagues tips: february 6-7 2010
Saturday February 6, 2010

German Bundesliga
Nurnberg 1-2 Stuttgart
KO: 5.30pm (GMT)
Venue: EasyCredit-Stadion
Verdict:
Stuttgart's excellent run of late (which has included wins at home to Dortmund (4-1), Wolfsburg (3-1) and Hoffenheim (3-1), and away to Freiburg (1-0) should continue this weekend, despite Nurnberg's strengthening in the January transfer window.
Advice: 2pts Stuttgart to win at 23/20 (2.15 at extrabet)

Sunday February 7, 2010

French Ligue 1 Orange
Toulouse 0-0 Lyon
KO: 4pm (GMT)
Venue: Parc Municipal des Sports, Toulouse
Verdict:
We said in this column just after the new year that Lyon were on the comeback trail and likely to be decent enough value to back in the second half of the French premier.
Their win last week, coming from behind to beat PSG highlighted this fact, and they are again excellent value to win at Toulouse - who struggle to score at home - this weekend.
Advice: 2pts Lyon to win at 13/10 (2.3 generally)

Spanish La Liga

Real Zaragoza 2-1 Sevilla
KO: 6pm (GMT)
Venue: Estadio La Romareda
Verdict:
Real Zaragoza will be a team to watch over the next few months.
Languishing in 18th place out of 20 Zaragoza have recruited heavily in the January transfer window in a bid to move clear of the relegation places.
Brazil world cup winner Edmilson will be an interesting recruit, at 33 he ois still worth a point or two's influence, and Matteo Contini, Roberto Jimenez, Adrian Colunga, Humberto Suazo, Jiri Jarosik and Eliseu all look capable at this level.
The new-look side started well with a 3-1 win over fellow relegation strugglers Tenerife last weekend, but the arrival of Sevilla is likely to be a much harsher lesson in the realities of this division.
However, keep an eye out for them as the weeks progress - should be some value there.
Advice: 2pts Sevilla to win at 11/10 (2.63 at Skybet)

Italian Serie A

Udinese 3-1 Napoli
KO: 2pm (GMT)
Venue: Friuli
Verdict:
Udinese have been in a constant state of panic/dismay this season as the prospect of falling out of Serie A loomed large.
But I think there are signs that the worst of their troubles maybe at an end with the appointment of former Torino coach Gianni de Biassi.
Napoli are high flying, but Udinese should squeeze out their first win in the league (they beat Milan in the cup) for their new coach.
Advice: 1pts Udinese to win at 17/11 (2.55 at expekt.com)
