Spanish La Liga
Fixture: Osasuna 0-2 Sevilla
Venue: Stadio Armando Picchi
Kick-off: 7pm BST (Saturday)
Verdict: It was mainly abysmal away form that almost relegated Osasuna out of La Liga last season, but they were just as vulnerable at home as well - and look that way too this season. Very little has changed, which makes in-form Sevilla a good bet for the away win.
The only down side is the loss of Brazilian Fabiano from Sevilla's front line, but with the likes of Freddie Kanoute, Diego Perotti and Fernando Rodriguez Ortego, they have plenty of cover.
Betting Advice: 1pt Sevilla to win at 5/4 (2.25 generally)
Italian Serie A
Fixture: Napoli 0-0 Udinese
Venue: Stadio San Paolo (Napoli home)
Kick-off: 5pm BST (Saturday)
Verdict: Although I would be the last person to underestimate the advantage that playing at home creates, the prices generated on this match are boggling. Udinese are in buoyant mood after a 4-2 win against Catania - which could have been a lot more - catapulted them to seventh place. There is a lot more to come from them.
Napoli were stuffed by Genoa last weekend after a really poor second half and they look a confused, disorientated side under new boss Roberto Donadoni.
Betting Advice: 1pt Udinese to win at 3/1 (4.0 at Boylesports, Stan James)
French Ligue 1
Fixture: PSG 1-1 Lyon
Venue: Parc des Princes (PSG home)
Kick-off: 8pm (Sunday)
Verdict: This is the time for PSG to break out of the shackles of nearly men and prove that they are now genuine contenders for honours in France. They had a bit of a nightmare day at the office last weekend when they lost to two late goals and finished with ten men away to Monaco. A win would have kept them level with Lyon - and if they are looking for excuses perhaps the fact that the match had to be stopped twice after Monaco fans threw fireworks onto the pitch may have been a little unsettling. Lyon, meanwhile, are not the same side that has dominated French football. They look mortal and are beatable at the Parc where PSG have yet to drop a point.
Betting Advice: 2pts PSG to win at 2/1 (3.0 at Stan James)
German Bundesliga
Fixture: VfL Bochum 2-3 Mainz
Venue: BayArena (Leverkusen home)
Kick-off: 2.30pm (Saturday)
Verdict: It will not surprise me this season to see Bochum relegated. From what I have seen so far this season they do not have the necessary quality to stay in the top flight. Mainz, on the other hand, are one of the form teams - and have beaten Bayern and Hertha Berlin already this season. This is a quite incredible price on the away side.
The only minus is that Bochum have managed to keep their noses clean at home, but that might change here.
Betting Advice: 2pts Mainz to win at 27/11 (3.45 at expekt.com)
Fixture: Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Werder Bremen
Venue: BayArena (Leverkusen home)
Kick-off: 4.30pm (Sunday)
Verdict: An unbeaten season so far, and four wins on the spin have kept Bayer Leverkusen flying high at the top of the Bundesliga so far this season, and they are unlikely to be held back by a Werder Bremen side stuttering so far. They followed up a narrow win against a pretty poor Hertha Berlin by drawing a blank against Hannover at home.
Not the kind of form to take into an away bill against the top side.
Betting Advice: 3pts Bayer to win at 23/17 (2.35 at expekt.com)
