Spanish La Liga
Fixture: Deportivo La Coruna 2-1 Atletico Madrid
Venue: Riazor (Deportivo home)
Kick-off: 5pm GMT (Sat)
Verdict: It is a cracking, if somewhat slightly unsurprising, price on Madrid away at Depor. THey have won just once at home all season, have a bad record against Depor and are struggling this season. However, they are turning a corner, Aguerro was rested by Argentina in the international break and Deportivo have personnel missing. Madrid are far too good a team to be winless for too long.
Betting Advice: 2pts Atletico Madrid to win at 15/8 (2.88 AT Coral)
French Ligue 1 Orange
Fixture: Montpellier 2-0 Lille
Venue: Stade de la Mosson (Montpellier home)
Kick-off: 8pm GMT (Sun)
Verdict: Although Montpellier are sixth in the table, they have stalled at the top after losing three games on the spin - although mainly! on their travels. Meanwhile, Lille had a poor start to the season - most unexpected - but they are now in their skin after wins over leaders Bordeaux and away at Grenoble. They are value to land decents odds here.
Betting Advice: 1pt Lille to win at 7/4 (2.75 at Betfred, expekt.com)
German Bundesliga
Fixture: Bayern Munich 1-1 Bayer Leverkusen
Venue: Allianz Arena (Munich home)
Kick-off: 2.30pm GMT (Sun)
Verdict: I'm not sure we should be betting on the German Bundesliga this weekend after the revelations this morning that the league was an epicentre of a match-fixing scandal. It's a bit churlish, though, to stop betting after the horse has bolted. And it wasn't at the very top of the game, where we go this weekend. Bayern Munich entertain Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday with some severe personnel problems. Arjen Robben is a doubt to add to a growing injury list that already has Franck Ribery on it. They have problems tac! tically, which will make playing the inform league leaders all! the more tough.
Betting Advice: 3pts Bayer Leverkusen (+0.5 on asian handicap) at 43/40 (2.08 at Bet365)
Italian Serie A
Fixture: Napoli 0-0 Lazio
Venue: Stadio San Paolo (Napoli home)
Kick-off: 2pm GMT (Sun)
Verdict: The arrival of Walter Mazzarri as coach this season, has finally got the Neapolitans believing that they are good enough this season to play in the Champions League. They were disappointed last time out not to follow up a fantastic away win at Juventus with a win in Catania. However, they should dispose of a Lazio side who are out-of-form and getting worse.
Betting Advice: 3pts Napoli to win at 17/20 (1.85 at Victor Chandler)
