Verdict: The winter break works both ways in Germany - for some teams it is a lifeline, for others it ruins an excellent run into the Christmas period.
Hertha Berlin seem to have come out of the break refreshed and back to close to their best, while Borussia are suffering from the same old demons. Either way, Hertha's January sale signings seemed to do the trick last week when they won 3-0 at Hannover.

Verdict: It is very difficult to understand why a beaten up Freiburg side are such low odds in this game.

Verdict: Goals will rain down in Siena this weekend, if the stats are anything to go by.
Siena's new coach Alberto Malesani has installed a 4-3-3 system which has made Siena much more open and, as a result, they have seen 17 goals in the last three games.
Cagliari are a stylish side that are likely to bring some attacking verve to the party, so there is no reason to expect we won't see goals again.
