Saturday
Fixture: Bolton 2-2 Tottenham
Venue: Reebok Stadium (Bolton home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: At first glance Tottenham look a gift of a price at Evens against a Bolton side that have been pretty much setting out their credentials for relegation from week one of this season's Premier League campaign. Last week Tottenham blasted five past Burnley at home to add to the five they put past Preston away from home to quickly dispel the memory of that blip on their copybook this season a 3-0 defeat at Spurs. However, one word of warning, Spurs record at the Reebok Stadium have been pretty poor. They have lost four out of five visits there.
But this Bolton side is not the same tough Allardyce-driven machine that puts people away and bruises anyone who gets too close away from home.
Betting Advice: 2pts Spurs to win at Evens (2.0 at expekt.com, Coral)
Fixture: Wolves 0-1 Portsmouth
Venue: Molineux (Wolves home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: Of course, as we can expect, life at Fratton Park got a little darker this week, as it has done since the beginning of August. This time it is the players who have been hit with their wages, along with the executive branch, which have been hit. They are expecting to be paid at some point today. That aside, it has been a better week on the pitch where Portsmouth should have got something out of a tricky-looking match against Everton after a string of chances. They are looking ready to get something out of a game, which makes any odds close to evens on the Asian Handicap action a decent bet. A +0.5 on the handicap gives us a winning bet on the win and the draw which is very good value, particularly as Wolves have been held by Swindon and Hull at home this season.
Betting Advice: 1pt Portsmouth to win at 14/5 (3.8 at Bet365); 3pts Portsmouth +0.5 on Asian Handicap at 1.8 (1.8 at SBOBet)
Fixture: Man Utd 2-2 Sunderland
Venue: Old Trafford (Man Utd home)
Kick-off: 5.30pm BST
Verdict: Although our statistical bet has failed to win since the beginning weeks of the season, this game looks ideal and it is a long-term profit getter, after all.
Betting Advice: 1pt Man Utd to win 1-0 at 7/1 (8.0 at Sportingbet); 1pt Man Utd to win 2-0 at 11/2 (6.5 generally); 1pt Man Utd to win 2-1 at 9/1 (10.0 at Skybet); 1pt Man Utd to win 3-1 at 12/1 (13.0 at Skybet)
Sunday
Fixture: Chelsea 2-0 Liverpool
Venue: Stamford Bridge (Chelsea home)
Kick-off: 4pm BST
Verdict: There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that any bet on Chelsea to win the Premier League title is a hugely wasted bet this season. With the number of African players they are losing for almost two months to the African Cup Of Nations the core of their team and a transfer embargo, they are going to have to be at least ten points clear by Christmas to have half a chance. Their latest dip in form lucky to beat QPR, terrible in defeat at Wigan is a genuine concern.
Liverpool, though not ideal for betting this season, have the kind of attacking prowess to shock Chelsea at home, and also the desire to bounce back from what was a freak result in Italy against Fiorentina in the Champions League last week.
Betting Advice: 2pts Liverpool to win at 11/4 (3.75 at extrabet)

Saturday
Although Burnley would fancy their chances of taking three points at Birmingham, I am not happy that they are fully recovered from a 5-0 hammering last week
Res: 2-1
Hull should be backed against at every available opportunity, but Wigan are too hit-and-miss for me
Res: 2-1

Arsenal are once more a silly price to win at home a place they have had problems before, though rarely against Blackburn
Res: 6-2
Everton are a shoo-in against Stoke but 4/7 is too rich for me
Res: 1-1
West Ham are in a spiral that would end in relegation in many years, but not this season with so many poor sides in the Premier League. Fulham, however, are in a tricky run, too
Res: 2-2

A fascinating face-off between Aston Villa and Man City. But best watched and enjoyed rather than betted on
