premier league tips: january 16-17 2010
Saturday January 16 2010

Manchester United 3-0 Burnley
KO: 3pm (GMT)
Venue: Old Trafford
Verdict:
For those who don't know we have a running correct score bet that triggers at certain prices. It is statistically proven to make a profit over a period of ten years study in the Premier League. This game qualifies.
Advice: 1pt each of the following Man Utd to win 1-0 at 15/2 (8.5 at Skybet and Sportingbet); Man Utd to win 2-0 at 11/2 (6.5 generally); Man Utd to win 2-1 at 9/1 (10.0 at Sportingbet, BlueSq, 888sport); Man Utd to win 3-1 at 12/1 (13.0 at Victor Chandler)

Portsmouth P-P Birmingham
KO: 3pm (GMT)
Venue: Fratton Park
Verdict:
Perhaps the most impressive stat to come out of Birmingham's recent run of form is the fact that they have conceded only three times in a run of eight - and that run included the top two sides.
After their dirge against Coventry in midweek, it is difficult to see Portsmouth scoring against this Birmingham unit, so the question is whether they can break down Portsmouth.
Not hard.
Advice: 3pts Birmingham to win at at 7/4 (2.75 at expekt.com)

Sunday January 17 2010

Blackburn 2-0 Fulham
KO: 3pm (GMT)
Venue: Ewood Park
Verdict:
While they remain winless since November, they are likely to remain friendless in the market, but I see differently here.
Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce has been increasingly saying that they are close to getting it right, and he has a point.
There was nothing in their defeat to Villa in the Carling Cup in midweek to suggest that this was a club in crisis.
That said, it's about what's in front of you, and in Fulham they have the greatest fillip.
the west Londoners have had an excellent season so far, but have suffered away from home - and are now beginning to suffer physically with injuries to key players.
It should be a concern, because Roy Hodgson's squad is not big enough to sustain too much collateral damage.
Advice: 2pts Blackburn to win at 6/4 (2.5 at Betfred and Victor Chandler)
