Tuesday
Fixture: Wigan 0-1 Wolves
Venue: JJB Stadium (Wigan home)
Kick-off: 7.45pm BST
Verdict: Lot of people got their fingers burned backing against Wigan on Saturday - it's as if people have not learned the lessons of the last few seasons.
Any Championship watchers last season will know that Roberto Martinez, the new Wigan manager, is an incredibly astute operator - getting Swansea into a pretty impressive position with a limited squad.
I wanted to have a look at the new Wigan, but I have seen enough to know that the manager, who masterminded a 3-0 home win over Wolves last season, will know enough to get the job done here.
Betting Advice: 4pts Wigan to win at 4/5 (1.8 at totesport and Ladbrokes)
Wednesday
Fixture: Burnley 1-0 Man Utd
Venue: TurfMoor (Burnley home)
Kick-off: 7.45pm BST
Verdict: That is quite a remarkable price on Burnley to beat Man Utd at home on their first match in the Premier League.
Granted they are playing the champions - but I'm not convinced they are 11/1 shots.
Burnley caused a number of upsets in cup competitions last season, and if they can recreate that cup feeling Man Utd are in for a shock. Don't go mad, though.
Betting Advice: 0.5pt Burnley to win at 11/1 (12.0 at Skybet and Boylesports)
Fixture: Hull 1-5 Tottenham
Venue: Turf Moor (Burnley home)
Kick-off: 7.45pm BST
Verdict: This Spurs side have goals in them - I saw that when I witnessed the 2-1 victory over Liverpool at White Hart Lane first hand on Sunday.
Their movement is excellent, they have pure speed on both wings and an enterprising attacking roster (forgive the Americanism, but they describe things so much better,
Their only concern is that they couldn't "shut-out" Liverpool on Saturday, although they made last season's second place side pretty toothless.
Perhaps the biggest plus for Spurs is that Ledley King looks to have started the season fit and healthy they could be the surprises.
Betting Advice: 3pts Tottenham to win at Evens (2.0 generally)
