Saturday
Fixture: Chelsea 5-0 Blackburn
Venue: Stamford Bridge (Chelsea home)
Kick-off: 5.30pm BST
Verdict: After two successes last week with Arsenal at 12/1 and Man Utd 17/2 Chelsea qualify this week for our statistically proven profitable bet.
Betting Advice: 1pt each of the following: Chelsea to win 1-0 at 13/2 (7.5 generally); 2-0 at 11/2 (6.5 generally); 2-1 at 9/1 (11.0 at Sportingbet, Skybet and extrabet); and 3-1 at 12/1 (13.0 at Skybet)
Fixture: Hull 0-0 Portsmouth
Venue: KC Stadium (Hull home)
Kick-off: 3pm BST
Verdict: This is one of a mini-series of surprise away wins that will be appearing in this week's tipping emails across the board. At 19/10, Portsmouth constitute extreme value against a Hull side that are bereft of confidence and rapidly running out of ideas. Against Fulham on Monday night they could have played for days and still not scored. Meanwhile, Portsmouth are beginning to reap the benefits of all those new signings over the summer. And, if it was not for Aruna Dindane's devastatingly poor form in front of goal they could have got something from Everton and Tottenham. It is clear that the Ivorian knows where to put himself, though, and when he starts to get some confidence, will prove a very useful addition.
Betting Advice: 2pts Portsmouth to win at 19/10 (2.9 at totesport); and 1pt Dindane to score first goal at 8/1 (9.0 at Ladbrokes and Stan James)
Fixture: Wolves 1-1 Aston Villa
Venue: Britannia Stadium (Stoke home)
Kick-off: 12.45pm BST
Verdict: There is very little between these two over the years, but Aston Villa are in such devastating form at the moment, it would be churlish not to back them. Wolves may be buoyed by a good draw at Goodison Park, but we can put a line right through that form as Everton continue to struggle. Villa, meanwhile, have broken their Birmingham derby hoodoo and will relish hitting the home team on the counter attack.
Betting Advice: 2pts Villa to win at 6/5 (2.2 at William Hill); 2pts Villa to keep a clean sheet at 11/8 (2.38 at William Hill)
Sunday
Fixture: Bolton 3-2 Everton
Venue: Reebok Stadium (Bolton home)
Kick-off: 1.30pm BST
Verdict: If Bolton play the way they did in the second half against Man Utd last Saturday then they will do a Benfica on this beleagured Everton side. However, it is often difficult to tell which Bolton side will turn up in any given half of football which is why they are struggling to keep their heads above the relegation parapet. Meanwhile, Everton will be putting on extra long socks this weekend after their ongoing knee injury epidemic continued apace against Benfica on Thursday when Diniyar Bilyaletdinov hobbled off to make it nine on the sidelines this weekend.
Betting Advice: 1pt Bolton to win at 9/5 (2.8 at Ladbrokes and William Hill)
