footbet - football tips

Footbet has been going for a number of years, first as a free tipping service for ESPN Soccernet. There have been many successes along the way, and oodles of profits, but in tipping you are only as good as your latest efforts.
This season has been a decent enough season so far. We have backed some incredible winners, but more importantly we have maintained a healthy profit throughout.
If you sign up for footbet, you get the best tips in the business. I'm not selling the type of system in which the seller claims to have worked as an insider and to know how big professional gamblers make their money. In other words, I'm not selling you 1/5 shots dressed up as a professional system.
Footbet's tips are the best in the business, because they are the best value from a tipster who has the Holy Trinity of tipping experience: management experience in the betting industry, a decade of experience as a professional football journalist in Fleet Street and online, and a successful life as a professional gambler.
See how much of a real deal we are below with examples from this season:
Fixture: Chelsea 2-1 Hull (15 August)
This season I am putting into play a new strategy developed over the summer with a lot of research. The following bet equates to a statistical anomaly, which is sometimes what gambling is all about finding a niche, finding value and exploiting it.
Advice: 1pt Chelsea to win 2-1 at 9/1 (10.0 at sportingbet and Skybet)
Portsmouth 0-1 Fulham (15 August)
Portsmouth are in meltdown before the season has even started and it is difficult to see them doing anything other than struggle throughout the coming season. Fulham, on the other hand, are enjoying the fruits of a successful season already, tasting success in the Europa Cup. They will be fully match fit and are competition ready, which puts them at a distinct advantage.
Advice: 3pts Fulham to win at 2/1 (3.0 at expekt.com)
Manchester United 1-0 Birmingham (16 August)
See Chelsea above.
Betting Advice: 1pt Man Utd to win 1-0 at 13/2 (7.5 generally)
Tottenham 2-1 Liverpool (16 August)
White Hart Lane is a tricky enough start for Liverpool in front of the cameras. It will be close which is why I am minded to go for the very generous Evens or better on offer on more than 2.5 goals considering the firepower on offer.
Advice: 1pt more than 2.5 goals at Evens (2.0 generally OR 2.1 at Betfair)
Burnley 1-0 Man Utd (19 August 2009)
That is quite a remarkable price on Burnley to beat Man Utd at home on their first match in the Premier League. Granted they are playing the champions - but I'm not convinced they are 11/1 shots.
Burnley caused a number of upsets in cup competitions last season, and if they can recreate that cup feeling Man Utd are in for a shock. Don't go mad, though.
Advice: 0.5pt Burnley to win at 11/1 (12.0 at Skybet and Boylesports)
Plymouth 2-1 Scunthorpe (3 October 2009)
A Massive TEN of the home teams in the 12 games in the Championship this weekend (count them, it's incredible) are odds against. Not just little odds against, either: eight of those are best-priced 6/4 or higher. Now do you realise how tough this league is going to be this season. The two odds on shots at home Newcastle (3/5), Sheff Utd (4/6) will be popular with those people who have little idea what they are doing. But perhaps the best home value is at Home Park where Plymouth have an excellent opportunity to make it back to back victories and perhaps crawl out of the relegation zone.
Plymouth had been looking like a team ready to win before they went to Peterborough in midweek and grab all three points. So, with the confidence that brings, a first home win is very much on the cards against a Scunthorpe side that are leaky and, quite frankly, punching well above their weight.
Advice: 3pts Plymouth to win at 6/4 (2.5 generally)
Sunderland 1-0 Liverpool (17 October 2009)
Sunderland's record this season at home speaks for itself, and they are ninth in the league just two points behind Liverpool with a similar record at home. The arrival of Boudewijn Zenden at Sunderland will be a boosting factor - particularly as he faces his old team first time up. He won't need time to gel either - he's been training at Sunderland for a few weeks now since being released by Marseille. Liverpool are desperately short of first-choice players after the international break: Sotiris Kyrgiakos is out for a while, while Steve Gerrard, Dirk Kuyt, Fernando Torres and Andriy Voronin are also doubtful. Late returning South American players like Javier Mascherano and Lucas may make this a week to forget for Liverpool.
Advice: 2pts Sunderland to win at 18/5 (4.6 at William Hill); 3pts Sunderland +0.5 on Asian Handicap at Evens (2.0 at SBOBet)
Arsenal 3-1 Birmingham (17 October 2009)
Our staple statistical bet for the season is available at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Advice: 1pt each of the following: Arsenal to win 1-0 at 9/1 (10.0 at Betfair); 2-0 at 11/2 (6.5 generally); 2-1 at 10/1 (11.0 at extrabet); and 3-1 at 12/1 (13.0 at extrabet)
Man Utd 2-1 Bolton (17 October 2009)
Another statistical bet is available this weekend and I really like the look of this one.
Advice: 1pt each of the following: Man Utd to win 1-0 at 7/1 (8.0 at Sportingbet); 2-0 at 11/2 (6.5 generally); 2-1 at 17/2 (9.5 at Sportingbet, extrabet); and 3-1 at 10/1 (11.0 generally)
